OUR STORY

Built around everyday business.

Biashara Desk brings quotations, invoices, payment records, customer contacts, stock and expenses into one workspace. We’re building it for small business owners who want to spend less time organising records and more time serving their customers.

Biashara Desk is a product of Sonship Media Africa Ltd. We’re currently in private beta, improving the product through practical testing and feedback from the people who use it.

From your first customer to a shared receipt.

Start here

Set up your business name, contact details and logo. Save profile changes and logo changes using their respective buttons.

1Add a customerSave their name and contact details.

Open Customers, enter the customer name and available contact details, then save. Use Edit to update an existing customer.

2Create a quotationAdd items and a KES or % discount.

Open Documents and choose New document. Select Quotation, enter the reference, customer and date, then add items. Choose Amount or Percentage for the discount. Review tax and totals before saving.

3Convert to invoiceYour quotation stays unchanged.

In saved documents, find the quotation and choose Convert to Invoice. Review the new invoice draft and save it. This creates a separate invoice and preserves the quotation.

4Record a paymentTrack part payments and balances.

Open Payments, select a KES invoice, and enter the amount actually received, date, method and reference. Save the payment. Part payments reduce the outstanding balance; a full payment clears it. Recording a payment does not move money.

5Create a receiptGenerate it from a recorded payment.

In Payments, find the recorded payment and choose View receipt. The receipt is linked to that payment. For a standalone receipt, open Documents and choose New receipt; this does not record an invoice payment.

6Download or shareSend the actual PDF attachment.

Swipe sideways in the document table for actions. Choose View to preview, Download then Save PDF to save a file, or Share PDF then WhatsApp PDF or Email PDF. Choose the app in the device sharing menu and confirm the PDF attachment before sending. If file sharing is unavailable, download and attach it manually.

Save your catalogue and prices. Editing a catalogue item does not rewrite previously saved documents.

Inventory

Create stock items, then record Receive or Issue movements. Invoice creation does not automatically reduce stock.

Expenses

Record the expense amount, category and date. Use Edit to correct a saved expense.

Reports

Review recorded payments, expenses and outstanding balances. Cash surplus is payments received minus expenses, not accounting profit.

Activity

Review the available activity history. This is not a complete audit log.

Data & backup

Export your business backup and store it securely. Backups contain customer and financial information.

Account & security

Manage your account and password recovery. Live subscription checkout is unavailable pending production verification.

Data migration & backup

Import a backup exported from the original Biashara Desk. Import is opt-in and does not delete your original browser records. Review the preview before proceeding.

Cloud restore is supported only into an empty business workspace. It never merges with or overwrites existing records. Keep a separate copy of your backup. Version 4 includes Pro defaults, recurring schedules and their run history, delivery notes, supplier bills and payments. A current Pro entitlement is required to restore Pro settings and schedules. Portal links are excluded and must be created again after recovery.

Is the private beta free?

Yes. The private beta is free while we test and improve Biashara Desk. Pro checkout is not active and this page cannot charge you.

Can I export my records?

You can download your documents as PDFs and export your workspace backup from Data & backup. Free PDF exports include the Biashara Desk watermark.

What happens when beta ends?

Final plans and any changes will be communicated before beta ends. Prices shown for Pro are proposals, and paid access will require a separate checkout.

Business profile

Your profile is saved to your signed-in business account in the cloud. Select Save profile after editing.

Company logo

Use your logo on quotations, invoices and receipts. Available on Free; the Biashara Desk footer remains.

PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 2 MB. Choose an image, then select Save logo.
